About Patricia Chavez
My name is Patricia Chavez, I am currently the President of the Media Arts Club and a full time student looking to graduate in May of 2017 with a BFA in Visual Communications. I am a hardworking student that is determined to be successful. I love being creative and learning new tools that can help me fulfill my future career, and also love helping others around me. My philosophy is that any opportunity available is one I would regret if not taken. My goal is to give 110% into everything I do to honor how my parents raised me; I owe everything to them. In the future, my plan is to give back to the people and communities that have helped me along the way.
Forgiveness
"My goal when filming Forgiveness was to bring awareness to domestic violence and its effects on families. I also wanted to convey the message that through hardship that forgiveness can help when rising above adversity . To forgive what has been done, to forgive those around you, and to forgive yourself."
Project notes
"I started filming Forgiveness in the beginning of December and after putting in many hours of filming and countless additional hours of re-shooting and editing I was able to produce a short film that I was proud of."
The Seabury Award has given me the opportunity to learn good organizational practices, a sharp focus on a project, and productive time management skills. It has taught me the value of hard work and I am very proud of what I was able to accomplish with the Seabury Award."
