David Sanchez Burr
David Sanchez Burr is a mixed-media artist and assistant professor of media arts and technology at New Mexico Highlands University. Born in Madrid Spain, David began his experimental sound and visual work in Richmond, Virginia while studying at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has exhibited and performed his work nationally and internationally at art centers, museums, and cultural spaces, The Wildlife Divide, a series of art events and workshops related to the high contrast between urban and natural habitats. He is a published recording artist and has received awards and project funding from The Nevada Arts Council, The Media Arts Platform, ISEA, the Art Production Fund and the National Endowment for the Arts. David received his masters degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2009.
